February 9th, 2011 rac3r iRacing.com has released the extremely powerful Sprint Car, giving oval racing fans a spectacular new vehicle to race with.
Below is a video showing some of the action this car delivers, iRacing subscribers can now buy the Sprint Car for $11.95.
Even though it may not look like it to the untrained eye, the Sprint Car is powered by a massive 820hp engine while weighing less than 750 kilograms. Sprint Cars are a popular form of lower-division racing in the United States as many successful NASCAR drivers have made their name racing these powerful cars on short track ovals.
February 9th, 2011 rac3r February 9th, 2011 rac3r Pagoda Mod Group has announced to be working on an Indycar 2011 mod for rFactor that will bring the next Indycar season to ISI’s upcoming simulation.
The team is in negotiations with Indycar to make the mod an officially-licensed product, real Indycar teams and drivers will be providing technical assistance for a maximum of realism.
Aside from all cars and drivers of the 2011 IZOD Indycar season, the mod will also include a scratch-made version of the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, home of the series’ marquee event – The Indy 500.

Fictional livery originally made for GTR2. It was one of my favourite liveries so I decided to make it for Shift. It?s not perfect but I like it… Hope you like it too!
Version: 1.1 – The previous version only had 6 mipmaps, changed that to 10 as all Shift skins have 10 mipmaps. Sorry for the mistake… It is my 1st Shift skin

As I stated on the very begining this was my first skin. After going deeper in the skinning I can say I learned a lot and decided to upgrade this skin. It now looks just like it should from the start. It now has the orange stripe between white and black which I could’t make look good before :p

February 9th, 2011 rac3r Codemasters has released new preview shots of their upcoming DiRT 3 rally title for the PC and gaming consoles that will be available in stores starting May 24.
Furthermore, Jessica Lopez of of InsideSimRacing.tv had the chance to interview DiRT 3 producer Paul Coleman, you can check out the extensive video interview below.
Using the trusted EGO-engine, DiRT 3 will be released in 2011 for the PC and consoles, following the successful second edition of the franchise that sold over 1.7 million copies. The title will feature over 50 cars that can be raced on over 100 stages that make use of a dynamic weather system including snow and ice.
